Barcelona star Lionel Messi and his childhood sweetheart Antonella Roccuzzo are set to tie the knot in the summer of 2017.

The five-time Ballon d’Or winner and Antonella have been dating since 2008 and have two kids together.

According to Argentine local journalist Juan Pablo Varsky, the couple will be tying the knot their native city of Rosario.

The couple met as kids at the city through Lucas Scaglia, Antonella’s footballer cousin and a close friend of Messi.

The city newspaper La Capital said it had confirmed the report.
“It’s true, there’ll be a wedding the middle of next year,” the reports says.
Messi met Antonella when he was just nine and used to write love letters to her.

They didn’t start dating until 2010 when Antonella joined him at Barcelona.
They have two sons Thiago (born 2012) and Mateo (born 2015).
